CausalFoundry Documentation
The next generation of synthetic engineering. Design complex causal worlds using YAML and stream them to any target in real-time.
Platform Overview
CausalFoundry is designed for teams that need to generate massive amounts of synthetic data while strictly enforcing deterministic business rules. Unlike Aphelion, which focuses on schema-safe cloning, CausalFoundry focuses on **Causal Design**.
The Causal Engine
A high-performance Rust core that resolves millions of causal nodes per second.
Logic Manifesto
Define your world once in YAML. Portable, versionable, and verifiable.
Logic Manifesto
The Logic Manifesto is the backbone of CausalFoundry. It allows you to define complex relationships that traditional mock generators simply cannot handle.
# example.manifesto.yaml
entities:
User:
attributes:
loyalty_score: range(0, 100)
causal_links:
- target: Order.discount
formula: "loyalty_score > 80 ? 0.20 : 0.05"
variance: 0.02
The CausalEngine ensures that for every User generated, their associated Orders strictly follow this logic, even at petabyte scale.
The Causal Engine
Under the hood, CausalFoundry uses a Directed Acyclic Graph (DAG) for state resolution. This ensures that change propagation is deterministic and predictable.
Shadow vs Generation Mode
Generation Mode
Create a pure synthetic world from scratch. Ideal for stress testing, model training, and performance benchmarking where no source data exists.
Shadow Mode
Mutate a live stream of production data. Replace PII and sensitive fields in real-time while maintaining the exact statistical distribution of the source.
